My name is Stacy and I have surrounded myself in the online world for almost six years now.
I have left the comfort of online media and working for well-known brands to cross over to the land of non-profit. My passion for nonprofits has finally won me over and brought me to where I am today. I work with an organization that has been around for six decades, and as wonderful as that is – it’s stuck in the past.
So why am I a Social Deliquent? Because I am finding that I am having to challenge everything that I come across, step a bit outside the boundaries and try to find ways to make connections between my coworkers and this “new” technology. Nothing online was tracked, the website was (still is) poor and there was no social networking taking place. I sometimes find myself swimming against the current to combat the cursed words: “It’s the way it has always been done.”
I want a place to discuss my trial and error – review my mistakes and cherish the successes. All the while knowing that it’s ok to be a social deliquent!
